The Overarching Antagonist, also known as the Bigger Bad, is an antagonist or villain who is the reason the Main Antagonist or Big Bad started the conflict in the first place. Usually doesn't show up until the end of a series, movie, or game, and sometimes does not show up at all. This could come in the form of a god worshipped by the Main Antagonist, someone who died and motivated the Main or Central Antagonists, a hidden antagonist orchestrated the events of the plot behind the curtain, etc.

- Christina Black from both Alexandra Green and its sequel The Freezeflame Elementals.
